Aperol Spritzes, Espresso Martinis, and Sangrias were flowing.
Servers passed a delicious array of menu items to the chic crowd. The evening’s offerings included:
Warm Olives
Oysters*
Truffle Fries
Arancini Cacio Pepe e Limone
Burrata on Toast*
Caesar Salad
Calamari Fritti*
Chicken Sliders*
Pizza Margherita
Pizza Diavola
Gnocchi alla Nerano
Steak n’ Frites*

The items with * are my favourites. Burrata on Toast featured ripe, in-season cherry tomatoes, with creamy Burrata on crispy toast.

Caesar Salad was artfully presented on a large Romaine leaf so that it could be eaten as a finger food. Calamari Fritti was perfectly fried without excess oil so that the batter wasn’t greasy. Chicken Sliders featured a delicious spicy hot sauce while the striploin steak was cooked to perfection. To be honest, everything was delicious.

Co-Owner Pat Lisi says, “We wanted to capture the feeling of spending summer in Italy. It’s about slowing down, sharing incredible food and drinks with great company, and creating a place where one cocktail naturally turns into dinner, and dinner into the rest of the evening. That’s the experience we wanted to bring to Toronto.”
Saxophonist Andriy played some fabulous background music and entertained the crowd with flames emitting from his saxophone!
The new Cassius patio will also include Dopolavoro, which offers an elevated after-work experience featuring a dedicated food and beverage menu, including signature dishes such as the gnocchi alla nerano with ricotta gnocchi and zucchini blossoms that was offered at the launch party, and the Italiano burger, featuring a brisket and chuck patty, caramelized onions and more.

Co-Owners Lisi and Bruno Commodari have created a gorgeous space where you can relax in style. You’re going to want to check out Cassius Patio while the summer is still going strong!
Cassius Patio is open seven days a week through the end of the summer.
