We’re about halfway through the Toronto International Film Festival celebrations, and last week’s events brought no shortage of star power. From wine with Chris Rock to tequila Cole Sprouse, here are some of the hottest TIFF parties so far.
The luxury champagne brand launched a lounge inside CLOCKWORK at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Elegant dining options like caviar, lobster and crab matched the chic interiors of the event, which kicked off TIFF season with a sparkle. There were seafood towers, no shortage of sparkling offerings, and a live musician at the event, which was attended by media and industry professionals to celebrate the opening of the event and kick off TIFF.

Evil Genius premiere party hosted by Don Julio Tequila at Vinny
Courteney Cox directed this true crime thriller, and Patricia Arquette, Ryan Eggold, and surprise guest Liam Neeson all headed to the official afterparty at Vinny, sponsored by Don Julio Tequila, following the presentation of the film. The vinyl bar was outfitted with on-theme decor, and guests enjoyed Don Julio-based drinks from the bar as well as food from the INK Entertainment property.

The Hollywood Reporter Green Room at 1 Hotel
The opening party, sponsored by Don Julio Tequila, boasted a live musician, tiny bottles of paloma for guests, passed canapés, film-inspired cocktails, and tons of fashionable Torontonians ready to kick off festival season. The Green Room will be open through September 20 with tons of celebrities stopping by. It also hosted Penelope Cruz’s live podcast taping later in the week, as the Spanish actress took to a stage to record The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast.

FECC Gala
Held at FECC’s Luxury Tented Pavilion Ballroom on Queen Elizabeth Boulevard, the gala welcomed hundreds of industry guests, including Canadian actors, creatives and entertainment professionals. The custom-built space took inspiration from the glamour of The Great Gatsby and the sleek aesthetic associated with Tom Ford, creating a fitting backdrop for one of the events leading into TIFF.
Actor Mena Massoud, known for Aladdin, Reprisal and The Royal Treatment, unveiled the Fall issue of FECC Magazine. Actress Emily Shah and Shannon Kook also made appearances on the red carpet.

The Collider Studio, presented by Campari and the Cayman Islands
Orlando Bloom, Michelle Yeoh and more visited The Collider Studio during the day, while afterparties for movie premieres at Cassius on King boasted themed drinks, indoor and outdoor spaces, passed snacks, and tons of celebrity sightings. Both are hosting events throughout the entire festival, making it one of the hottest tickets in town. From hosting chats to event afterparties, the Collider Studio (presented by Campari and the Cayman Islands) and Cassius on King house some of the festival’s biggest stars, from Annie Murphy to Rebel Wilson, for a bit of chat and a drink or two.

Misty Green premiere party at Alobar Downtown
Luxury car brand Audi put on a party for the premiere of Misty Green, where the wine was flowing, Chris Rock and Topher Grace were mingling, and the food was distinctly delicious–just as we’ve come to expect of Patrick Kriss and the Alo team.

Closing Night at Harriet’s Rooftop
Sarah Paulson and Naomi Watts partied on one of the city’s most iconic rooftops to celebrate the premiere of their film Closing Night, and it was certainly a TIFF evening to remember–thanks in part to the views, the food, and the beautiful September night.
